Smells Like Charity was born from a simple idea: bringing people together through beautiful fragrances while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
The idea came to owner Luke Tetlow-Cross while watching his daughter perform in her dance show. It was one of those moments when inspiration struck, and Luke began thinking about how he could combine his passion for making wax melts with his desire to support charities and give something back to the community.
Luke had been making handmade wax melts as a hobby for several years, creating them for friends and family to enjoy. What started as a creative pastime soon developed into an opportunity to do something much bigger – turning a love of home fragrance into a business with charity at its heart.
More Than £15,000 Raised for Charity
Giving back has always been important to Luke. Over the past three years, he has dedicated a huge amount of time and energy to fundraising, raising more than £15,000 for ANDYSMANCLUB through a series of fundraising challenges.
These have included organising two charity balls and, more recently, completing an incredible personal challenge of running 40 runs before his 40th birthday.
These fundraising efforts have helped support an important cause focused on men's mental health and suicide prevention.
Having spent so much time running and organising fundraising events, Luke wanted to explore a different way of raising money – something he could build into everyday life and continue doing for years to come.
That's where Smells Like Charity was born.
